奔騰於紙墨之間，沉靜如雷——郭迪康的當代駿馬美學
2026年，歲次丙午，馬年將至。東畫廊TUNG GALLERY榮幸呈獻香港藝術大師郭迪康（Kwok Ti Hong）的專題藝術展「Silent Thunder · 墨影奔騰」，以實體與線上雙軌形式，全面展示藝術家筆下融合東方筆墨神韻與西方造型張力的當代駿馬系列。
郭迪康，這位曾獲「第四屆世界傑出華人藝術家大獎」、兼具雕塑家與畫家雙重身份的藝術大師，以其獨有的「雕塑之眼」與「解剖之手」，打破了中西藝術的藩籬，呈現了既具備西方解剖學嚴謹結構，又流淌著東方水墨氣韻的當代神駒。其作品藝術成就卓越，先後被香港藝術館、泰國皇宮、北京保利博物館等國家級與專業機構收藏。
郭迪康1942 年出生於廣東潮陽，畢業於廣州美術學院，1976年定居香港後，於中西文化交匯的環境中淬煉出獨樹一幟的藝術語言。他不僅是畫家，更是雕塑家，曾創作多座國際級雕塑，並以深厚的解剖學功底與空間造詣，將「以塑入畫」的理念推向極致。其筆下的馬，骨骼精奇、肌肉勃發，在二維紙面上迸發出三維的視覺震撼。
是次展覽精選郭迪康「駿馬系列」代表作，包括水墨與壓克力兩大媒介。水墨作品中，他以狂放而精準的筆觸，揮灑出大漠蒼茫間的奔馬英姿，墨韻飛揚如風似電；壓克力作品則以深邃藍調與強烈肌理，構建出冷峻而充滿動感的現代視覺敘事，隱喻時代中奮進不息的精神力量。
郭迪康曾三次深入敦煌，絲路的文化厚度與自然壯闊，深深烙印於其創作之中。他的馬，不僅是動物形象的再現，更是力量、自由與意志的東方美學載體，在當代語境中重構「龍馬精神」的圖騰意義。
展覽期間，觀眾可親臨感受作品實體的質感與量感，亦可透過線上展廳細覽筆墨細節，突破時空限制，沉浸於藝術家構建的駿馬世界。

Galloping in Ink, Silent as Thunder – The Contemporary Horse Aesthetics of Kwok Ti Hong
As we approach the Year of the Horse in 2026, TUNG GALLERY is honoured to present "Silent Thunder · 墨影奔騰", a dedicated exhibition by Hong Kong master artist Kwok Ti Hong. Showcasing his celebrated horse series, the exhibition will be held both physically and online, unveiling a world where Eastern ink spirit converges with Western sculptural form.
Kwok Ti Hong, an awardee of the “Fourth World Outstanding Chinese Artist Award,” is both a sculptor and painter who seamlessly bridges Eastern and Western artistic traditions. With his unique “sculptor’s eye” and “anatomical hand,” he breaks down artistic boundaries, creating contemporary divine steeds that possess the rigorous structure of Western anatomy and the flowing spirit of Eastern ink wash. His works have been widely acclaimed and are held in prestigious national and institutional collections, including the Hong Kong Museum of Art, the Royal Palace of Thailand and the Poly Art Museum in Beijing.
Born in 1942 in Chaoyang, Guangdong, and a graduate of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, Kwok moved to Hong Kong in 1976, where he refined a unique artistic language at the crossroads of Eastern and Western cultures. Not only a painter but also an accomplished sculptor—having created large-scale international sculptures—Kwok brings profound anatomical knowledge and spatial insight into his practice, mastering the concept of "sculptural painting." His horses are defined by extraordinary bone structure and dynamic musculature, bursting with three-dimensional power from a two-dimensional plane.
This exhibition features a curated selection from Kwok’s "Horse Series," including both ink and acrylic works. In his ink paintings, bold and precise brushstrokes capture the majestic gallop of horses across vast desert landscapes, with ink washes flowing like wind and lightning. His acrylic works employ deep Prussian blue and strong textural layers, constructing a modern visual narrative that is both intense and dynamic, metaphorically expressing the relentless spirit of striving forward in contemporary times.
Kwok’s three research trips to Dunhuang and the Silk Road have deeply infused his work with cultural depth and natural grandeur. His horses are not mere representations, but vessels of strength, freedom, and will—reconstructing the totemic "spirit of the dragon-horse" within a modern aesthetic context.
Throughout the exhibition, visitors are invited to experience the texture and volume of the works in person at TUNG GALLERY, or explore detailed brushwork through our online viewing room—transcending physical boundaries to immerse in Kwok’s horse world.
